Same IP does not mean same person. My husband and I both have BGA accounts, we play from the same IP most of the time (unsurprisingly). We also play other couples on here who have the same issue. My kids are interested in board games and when they get a bit older, they may also want to play on here. There is likely a different pattern of play between a couple and a user creating multiple accounts that you might be able to tell that they're not the same person, but that's a lot more work than banning based on just having two accounts with the same IP. But to do that is frustrating for many other users who aren't doing anything wrong.

I didn't think about your scenario but yeah I agree your case can be wrongly judged in case of catching accounts just by filtering those from the same IP address. Logging patterns, multiple devices for logging in, etc also have to be observed to correctly seize those accounts, which I don't think the site will spend resources on this.

Still maintaining a fair playing environment is 1 of the components for any online game platform, and I feel that the site isn't doing enough to deal with this common phenomenon across the whole site.
