I took from your posts you thought BGA weren't doing anything about the issues. I know the second half of your last comment mentions being better about comms, but the "if" implies you aren't sure they're actually doing anything. As I said, I don't agree with everything they do, but I wouldn't say they're not dealing with the site-wide issues - there's plenty of evidence that they are.

Can't you subscribe to bugs somehow? I know you certainly can by commenting on it, which suggests there's a way (though I can't see one other than commenting). If knowing that a bug is being fixed is important to you, you should be voting on it, and you should be able to subscribe either at that point ideally.

Do you mean if you comment on a bug you'll get a notification if there is a change in status? If so, it has been so long since I've seen such a notification that I've forgotten it happens.

I wouldn't have disabled it because I want those notifications. It may be that I've just recently commented on things (site-wide issues) that aren't getting reviewed.

I have only recently looked at these forums while on this site and am learning more about this site overall.
I have more questions about how this site is run from posts such as this one.

Some of the earlier posts in the thread answer your question pretty thoroughly. Have a look. The site is not run by volunteers, although most individual games are maintained by volunteers.

The site itself is operated by a small handful of BGA employees. Even if they worked for free, the servers, networking, data, storage, etc. all costs money. A good portion of the money also goes to publishers for allowing their games on the site.

Everyone loves to pick on big companies, but BGA has remained very much the same, even as inflation has raised prices of practically everything else.

Recently I started sorting bug reports in Can't Stop. Even sorting the tickets took hours (not including actual bug fixes at all).
Now I can't imagine reviewing every 'BGA website' category ticket manually.
