Solo - End of final phase

I noticed when playing the solo game (don't know about multiple player), that if I construct anything in the final round/final construction phase, which gives me the red resources as a bpnos, I can't use them to construct any remaining cards which might need red resources.

I had several cards which had been paid for up to the need for red resources. On the final round of the construction phase, I built three cards which gave me a total of (5) red. When I clicked commit, the cards were built, but I was unable to use the bonus red resources. The game ended after clicking commit.

I've played this tabletop game before and we have always allowed someone on the final phase to take those red resources and to use them as needed. I'm not sure if this is legal in the game, but I would assume it should be so since you have the ability to construct those cards.

This has come up before. There is no "final phase" after the final phase. But there doesn't need to be! You can convert your cubes to red cubes in the last phase and use them right then.
