Thanks for detailing that. I personally think it's fine to come out now with limited content, if the game is stable it's better for Scorpion Mask to get it out earlier so people can try it online before buying rather than waiting for mid year where it might have dropped off people's radar more.Wilikai wrote: ↑29 January 2025, 17:22I think they've labeled it "Part 1" because the full game isn't available yet. Once you make it past the first boss and have opened up a new land, trying to go to that new land gives you a message saying that content will be coming on June 1. Honestly, I'm disappointed that it's leaving beta without that content available. I hope the developers are able to move up that date. This is an extremely fun, addictive game, and it's a shame it's being released in this truncated form.Condar15 wrote: ↑29 January 2025, 16:14 I've been trying to see (and maybe I'm being a dumb and missing something obvious), but what about this is "Part 1"? Is there only some campaign content included? Regardless it's a great addition to the site, even having access to a taster for such a big game would be great, and I'm looking forward to trying it out - but yeah, I don't understand what about this is "Part 1".

Hi, I'm the dev for Dead Cells here on BGA. So let me explain a few points on why it is released in parts.
Firstly, and most important of all, the game's huge scope means implementing everything first would push back the release considerably (at least 6 months).
For the same reason, the beta phase would have been tremendously long and most of those beta players would have seen all content already thinning out the community to play with.
There are secondary reasons. For example, the physical copy of the game is in short supply currently. As consolation the publisher wanted to provide a digital version sooner rather than later.
Also, when new players spectate a table, they don't see content too far ahead.
The Ramparts (3rd biome) are due to release on april 1st. The second major part, containing the second boss, is due in June. There is no fixed date for all content but it will be available at the end of the year for sure.
Hope that helps

Awesome! This will be my 1st game on BGA I will try solo. I couldn't take part in the the kickstarter so it's a nice treat to be able to try the game on BGA!

Thanks for making it happen. Still, I guess I'll qait for the full release. "Part 1" feels like a demo.

Great job, thank you

Thanks for this response, and for developing the game for BGA. As I said in my earlier post, it's a super fun and well-implemented game. I'd love to see a lot more campaign games like it on this site.LeSteffen wrote: ↑29 January 2025, 20:02 Hi, I'm the dev for Dead Cells here on BGA. How can I get several sessions going at the same time?
I got a group of 3 I'm currently playing with and invite them to another game after each run and it seems to continue with our previous progress.
If I am to start a solo session how does the app knows to start without a progress and to separate between the two?
