Banned and still playing

While exploring a player profile i saw written " This player has been banned from BGA. (forever)" ...but the guy is still playing 18 games.
Am i missing something? or is the ban only for some functionalities?

Maybe the games were already ongoing (or scheduled, in the case of tournaments, I guess; I'm not sure how tournaments work) when he was banned. If he cannot log in, he'll eventually run out of time and be expelled.

They are only banned from messaging. They can still play.

I'm pretty sure they are fully banned, if you look at the games, they were all turn based games, and they havent taken any turns since the ban. It seems like an oversight of the system that they doesn't auto end the games hes in like he left.

Maybe. I was thinking of a different message that reads "moderators have limited this player's access (forever).
