Hey everyone,

I love this game, but I can't seem to figure out what are the best strategies to get on top of resource gathering. And in general, tbh. Has anyone got any thoughts? I had a look online, but haven't found anything useful.

Obviously this will be my personal opinions from what I've experienced:

• Beer(horn) cards are almost all useful. Especially the ones that let you hop backwards

• Any of the first ship slot upgrades that let you draw a card when you take the upgrade action are good

• I make a general plan based on my initial rune stone but then play pretty flexible based on what other people do

• Some of the upgrades that give 4 points per some action/card can be powerful if used correctly. This could be like the 4 points per trade card upgrade and you hold your trades and specifically take trades that give two cards until you have the upgrade built

• I don't love it but there is definitely some value in taking blocking moves. If your opponent has 10 cards but no resources, blocking them from resources can indirectly help you win (with lower overall total scores)
