Swap card when can't play?

Post by Ditto11 »

Quick question ... as the behaviour seems to have changed with the latest update.

Previously ... when you couldn't play .. you were forced to swap hands .. and then play immediately passed to the next player.

Now, when you can't play, you have to swap your hand .. and you have to play ... and if you can't, you have to keep swapping ....

question: If there is only 1 card left to play .. and it's in MY hand ... and the other player's turn .. they can't play ... is this a game loss now?
Before, it would be a game win ... since they would swap and pass .. back to me, and I would play the winning card.

But now, since turn never returns to me .. the other player can never find the valid card ..

?? is this the intended behaviour now? Was this changed deliberately ?

It's an interesting rule change. The loss conditions are now different for single player compared to multi player. In single player, a large trap guarantees a win, but the more players you have, the more likely it will be a loss.

The publisher themselves confirmed this IS the official ruling. This should have been done years ago.
I didn't change the original rules, but the previous developers didn't implement the original rules correctly.

Yes ufm, I can see your work has been done correctly, as you have to follow the rules intended by the publisher.

The written rules do not address this question at all, and I think most people would assume replacing your hand ends your turn. But they have addressed it in forum clarifications.

I think drawing 3 new cards should end your turn, and it makes a better game. But the decision is for the publisher alone, and it seems they have made it.
