I was just unreasonably expelled from a game where I was tryin gmy best, and was only just barely not making time in a complex game that I've barely played at all.
So now i have an unearned 'disc', as if I had left ag ame when I was there the entire time and actively trying. It's a travesty to give a player a disconnect as if they'd abandoned a game when they're there and actively trying and have been the whole time. It's not like I was chronically 5 minutes delayed, it was a matter of seconds.
And now the scum who did this to me, and who, if this were in real life would be considered by most groups I know to be engaging in grossly unsportsmanlike conduct (since it's not a tourney), gets off scot-free, when in reality they deserve to bep unished. And I don't even get to know their idnetity, nor do others, in order to judge their actions. Those who vote for expulsion should at least be listed publically, so we can know who they are and measure their basis on its merits, rather than it bein gwholly silent.
Furthermore, the unjust penalty on a new player (me) should be removed; and the rules should not count an actively playing/trying player as a full disconnect. There's a HUGE world of difference between someone who just afk's/abandons and someone who's trying but just barely runs out of time in a long (non-tourney) game. There should clearly be a much lesser penalty for such cases; nor does it even make for good gaming to just remove a player from a game if only one of the players wnat it, not when the others might well prefer to still have a full game.
I am disappointed in BGA, and hope proper action will be taken to improve policies in the future.
