How do I put a station where I want it when playing online?

Can you tell me the steps I need to take to use a station? I’m used to just picking the piece up and putting it on the board

What I do :
1) Select in the cards I have in the hand, the color I want to use to build the station.
2) Zoom
3) Click on the empty city where I want to build the station.
4) Confirm the build (if you have set to "Enable" the Option for confirmation)

Can I double check one thing?
I watched a tutorial and it seemed to say the station went on the city you were trying to get to. I always thought it went on a city you’ve reached, that is one stop from the city you want to get to. Which is it?

A station on a city permits to use only one route (in contact with this city) already built by another player.
The station can be built on the 2 sides of this wanted route.
You can build a station for a route not yet built but the station will have an effect only if the route is built before the end of the game.

Hi guys, i have a problem with the stations too. In my turn when i want to build a station i click on the city i want to build on and nothing happens.. I tried to do what you said in this thread and it didn't help. Also when I move the mouse over the route card, the screen only gets darker but the destinations do not become highlighted. Could it be related?
