Arena options for the current season

How do I find out what options are in effect for the current season for an arena game? It seems some games you can find out by pressing the game name when in "play now" / arena mode. But it doesn't always seem to be correct.

How do I find out what options are in effect for the current season for an arena game? It seems some games you can find out by pressing the game name when in "play now" / arena mode. But it doesn't always seem to be correct.

1) Go the lobby for that game. 2) Scroll down to "My Arena history," which will be shown even if you haven't played in Arena or even qualified for it. 3) Click on the link for "view all seasons," and the Arena page will open. 4) Click on Season 20 in the upper left if it's showing season 19 instead of Season 20. 5) Click on "+See season rules" in the upper right.

I just tried testing edge cases (because this question is going to be asked again), and it looks like if you have never played a game at all the "My Arena history" section is not displayed. The work around if you're a Premium member is to start a hot seat game for that table, then immediately abandon it (there are no penalties because you can only start a hot seat game in Friendly mode). Now the "My Arena history" section will show.

For those who would say, "bro, it shows the Arena settings under 'Latest Update.' Git gud." No, it shows which settings *changed* in the current season, not all settings unless every single possible configuration changed.

This is pretty cumbersome. If there is a more direct way to do it, PLEASE chime in.

One way is to create your own direct link to a game's Arena page, e.g.,

and replace 1783 with the game ID # for the game you want and 20 with the current season number.

To find the game ID #, go to that game's lobby and click "Watch a game in progress" and look for "game=NNNN" in the URL, where NNNN will be the game ID #.

Hi, I have another solution. Go view the games in progress and look for an Arena game. There should be plenty as turn based. Click on the game to go into it and then click the BGA logo at the top left corner to take you “back” to the game setup page. This will show all the settings for the Arena game.

When you join an arena game you will have the same settings. Hope this helps.

Doesn't seemed to work for me. I see the Number of players for season 20 for Splendor is 3. I started up a game and it is a 2 player game.

You are right. That's too bad, because the "see season rules" link used to not work, but there's no point in that link "working" if the information is inaccurate. Maybe it pointing to the previous season's information and isn't getting updated? It would be odd for that not to be automated though.

BananaHarambe's method works. To tell which is an arena game look for the silhouette of the swords and shield on the right side of a game in the list.

The best way is probably to find an Arena game that has already been played (or is being played) and look at its settings.

How do you view the games in progress? I know I have seen it before, but I don't recall how I got there.

On the right hand side of the game page, there's a video looking thing of gameplay with a link to view games in progress.

Can't you just go to Play Now,
Set it to Arena game,
Then click on the cog to change the settings for a game?

Isn't that showing all the current arena settings for that game? If you try to change one, it won't let you because it's locked in for the arena season. Or is that not always accurate?

This is what I was thinking too. Although, the one cavet would be that I don't believe you can set it to an Arena game if you don't have the 100 elo.
