Game setup feedback

Post by rosstc »

Just some feedback after playing this a few times now, not on the implementation per se, but just a way to make it a bit more enjoyable. Not sure where to leave it so chose here.

There is a fair bit of commentary already on Meka Dragon being fairly OP, I'm not going to weigh in for or against, but I do think it would be nice to offer a game setup option without that monster (auto assigned or when players choose) to let players choose whether they are happy with it in the game.

I see it working like how Wingspan allows setup to remove Powerful Bird Cards.

Right now I have 99 wins and 38 losses. I tried all the monsters in the beginning but now I pick either the extra power guy or the extra dice guy. Most people pick the meka dragon and it doesn't go well for them. They have only one way to win. I use all win conditions. Sometimes I even knock him out. Once you hit him a few times he has to heal and then his power is garbage. Sometimes they do get lucky but my 70 plus percent win rate says it isn't good at all.

I once picked Alienoid against Meka Dragon and used my ! to attack. They were so low in HP and me so high that my opponent started to pull the tokens on his side. I killed them. You just need to be careful and try to win fast too against Meka Dragon. I saw someone suggested that they could have max 12 HP but start at 9 or 10 HP. Maybe that would help.

Meka Rush is a reliable, brainless win tho.

Dunno if a game should be balanced around 128+ plays.

Did you read what the other people wrote? They think the dragon should be banned after a couple of plays. I'm showing that it is not just beatable but very beatable after way more plays.

I am having so much fun.
I don’t feel that meka dragon make the Game unbalanced, it just make the game more luck related than strategy related but we are playing a dices game here.
If your opponent choose it you just need to be ajust a bit.
Thanks for this game.

Meka dragon doesnt fit this game at all. Just two lucky turns and its game over. Theres nothing you can do. Unbalanced. And if you do good agains meka most likely played against clueless guy, and theres a lot of them now. Meka dragon is auto pick. And game becomes completely different. Just slap game who rolls more Thats it.

removing meka dragon would return strategy to the game, right now i can win with him in 2 turns if i go second and it ruines any point to even playing. If i dont choose it my opponent will and im not seeing anyone lose who chooses it, im sure its possible if you get really bad luck with rolls but so far for me its an extremely fast game if anyone chooses it
