Cannot discard equipment

How do you discard equipment during a run? It didn't seem like we were given an option so we were stuck with the first piece of equipment we chose. We could not discard during interbiome either.

I noticed the same in my own games, and there was no existing bug to request the feature, so I've filed one:

When you are allocated a new piece of equipment you get the option to discard your current gear
