A strange match on a map where strange things are bound to happen! As you may have noticed the Germans won both games. I thought I was set up for victory in game 1, but then had several turns where I couldn't hit anything and my attacking force was all but wiped out. After running and hiding, I picked off a few Germans as they came forward, but I didn't hold out much hope for a match win...
Until the start of game 2, that is. My artillery never took any casualties and dealt out significant damage to the Russian armor. My dice were hot, Jeronimon's were not, I was aided by a couple of ambushes, and I found myself the winner of a 10-3 game in favor of the Germans, even preventing them from taking the airfield....something I haven't seen before and will probably never see again!
Thanks for the games, Jeroen, and see you in a few days at the Dutch Open! Fortunately, I won't be playing you since I'm sure your revenge will be rather devastating! Good luck next round.
