Need more setup (player boards) options

I want to be able to choose all boards in configuration, currently only board 1 and 2 can be selected.

Also it would be great if we could choose among 2 boards except without board 8 as an option.

Another idea would be to choose again among 2 boards except it would be identical choice for each player (this would be good for arena I think),
players have the same choice so if they prefer 1 board they can choose whatever they prefer and if they end up not choosing the same as their opponent it makes for a more interesting game imo and we cannot say it's not fair or competitive since they have the choice.

Last but not least, again for Arena I think it could be good as well but seems more difficult to do in practice:

Assuming it's a 2 players game, give the 2 players the same choice of boards, 3 boards to be exact, except 1st player get to choose wether he keeps 1st place or if he chooses the map first. if he chooses the map, then he becomes second player (because we assume he gets the best map since he chooses first so it's natural that the other player would get first place to compensate)

So the other player end up choosing among the last 2 maps available, he cannot pick the same map as the privious player.

Personally I'm against it in the competitive format like the arena. But it would be amazing option for friendly games to practice strategy on the selected map.

Hi, thanks for your answer, I know top players tend to prefer same board 1v1 never more than 2 players but I have some reason to think it's actually not necesseraly the best option for competitive game.

Not going to explain here as it would take too long, also it might be the topic of my next post.

Anyway, by any chance do you know how I could get some updated data from BGA ?

I know a guy did an analysis in 2013 and 2017 with data from a different website, I took a look at them and it feels incomplete and obsolete to me. I am sure BGA could provide much better data so I would really like to take a look at it.

Well, I'm not against mixing it up I think that this option of choosing would lead to playing same board over and over again (which is super boring). But as a training tool and for friendly games it would be the best game mode.

Sorry, I don't know how to get the data But if you find out and have some nice analysis, than I would love to discuss and read it!

Yeah sure, I will keep looking for it and if I can come up with a new and fresh analysis I will !

Also in the meantime I might give my own analysis from past data that was released several years ago.

Agreed, but I'll up the ante and say add all the boards and options (Trade Routes, etc) from the Special Edition as well....
A graphical Upgrade is needed too
