How to play research coordination card on BGA?

Can anyone explain how to play the Research Coordination card? I've heard this can be played against Builder, for example, but how?

This card is played like any other. Then, when it is in play, it counts as any tag while taking an action.

So, for example, if you have seven building tags plus Research Coordination, you can take the Builder milestone since it counts as any tag, in this case, building tag.

If you have Terraforming Ganymede, you can count this as a Jovian tag. If you have Insects, you can count this as a plant tag.

Every action you take, this card can be a different tag. It doesn't "Freeze" as a building tag, for instance, if you take Builder.

The interface is smart enough to calculate this for you. There is no manual adjustment needed.

I should clarify that the Wild tag only counts after this card is already in play. You cannot, for instance, reduce its cost with Earth Office nor will it trigger Mars University as if it was a science tag.

But after it is in play, it will count for a Science tag to reach the requirements for Quantum Extractor or count as an Earth tag for Cartel.

Because it is "while taking an action," it can be used for milestones but not awards such as Scientist.

The one thing BGA can't do right now with wild tags is count the two wild tags as different tags. This is important for those intending to claim Diversifier with 6 tags + 2 wild tags. Otherwise, all rulings with wild tags on BGA function properly.
