So I'm giving this another try in beta and I'm getting a similar issue to the first time that the user interface is lacking.

Prompts are very unclear - for example I am allowed to go through all the steps for selecting a sustain attack or an advance even if I am not allowed to play it. A simple prompt to say what the system has already determined "You cannot advance in spring, [click here] to continue".

The layout feels awkward. I cannot see the whole board in one go (whereas in the physical version its a simple enough game I can take in the whole position).

The contingency cards are immediately visible to left and right of the board but I have to scroll down to see my hand, despite my hand being the more changeable and the more frequently used. At minimum I would move the players hand to the left side and the two sets of contingency down below. I don't know if it would work but I wonder about an option to turn the board through 90 degrees.

The hand is a little awkward to use because sometimes when I click on a card it becomes very difficult to then select the other card I want. Perhaps straighten these up a little and give a little more space between them.

Its nice to see this developing but I think there are definitely tweaks that can improve things.
