Favorite Games Designation Gone

At one time you could click a tiny heart icon on a game's page to indicate it was a favorite. It seems that this ability is no longer available. When I go to the COMMUNITY page and then click the PRESTIGE (golden trophy) area, my games are sorted first by favorites and then by number of plays.

If we can't turn the favorite on and off anymore, maybe it would be better to just sort these games by Number of Plays only. I guess number of plays is a good determiner of favored status.

I actually don't think that's necessarily a good determination of favorite games. For one, it's easy to play a lot of a short game, without it being your favorite. (On Yucata, I have WAY more plays of Can't Stop than anything else, but it's not my favorite game. It's just fast, and lots of people play it, and it's a good "filler" game.) And for someone like me who is far more likely to take an invite than to make one, I play what comes up in the invites. Here I've played more Yahtzee than anything else. I like it but it's not my favorite game. But there's a lot of invites for it, and I'm comfortable with it (since I've known it for many years), and it's not the least bit confusing to play more than one at once.

(That said, I don't care about marking my favorites.)

I'm also fine with the favorites feature being gone.

However...

My games have remained sorted in the order they were in when I had favorites. Since I've played all the bga games, it sometimes makes it pretty weird to find a game on my profile (I have previous favorite games sorted by number of plays, then games I didn't favorite sorted by number of plays, any new game I play goes to the second group whether I like it or not). I wish that would go away.

I think the favorite feature was quite useful, and I'd be glad to see it back.

The fact that it is used for sorting the games, but you can't turn it on/off is really awkward.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I had to quote the awkwardness of the new sorting of the games in players' pages.

Please reorder them automatically, or give us again the chance to mark/unmark them as favourite ones... the actual sorting system is really weird

i'd be interested in seeing games sorted by ELO. that way games which i have not played for 60 days, where i am 'not ranked', appear in a separate section below.

that might give me incentive to restore my ELO position on those games, or let them continue to drop out of my awareness, with the games i am actively playing regularly at the top.

It will be another interesting sorting order.
The best option will be having a chance to decide the sorting order, but at least if/when possible the actual sorting (dis)order should be fixed.
