Wrong guess penalty

Do you consider add some time penalty for bad solution?

I prefer put one or two last pieces in random and see if I did right. That definitely saves time. If it will be some kind of penalty player would think twice before spam solution button. They can take risk or finish puzzle safe.

Yeah I would enjoy that too. I would think of 3 seconds penalty.

There is an annoying bug going which make it that if two players do the same action at the same time, one of the two (or both?) will not be able to make their action goes through. And limiting the number of wrong guesses should limit that.


Too many times I have two duos left, and I try the 4 solutions without thinking. And if none of those work, I know a previous thing I tried was wrong. That's the most time effecient in some cases.

Idk.. the puzzle where I have to click validate more than once is already my longest puzzle. Does there really need to be another penalty on top of that?

I'm not sold on whether spamming the validate button should be stopped. However, if it should, I would much rather see a limit to how many times you can click the button.

Guessing is a valid way to approach a puzzle game. But if you're playing a puzzle that is so easy you could guess your way through without thinking you should probably play a harder level.

We tried this approach a few months ago.

We decide to not give a penalty. This is another point of view and we understand why it could be logical to do this but we decide that make some guesses is ok.

And to make a mistake is already a penalty.

Guessing is a valid way to approach a puzzle game. But if you're playing a puzzle that is so easy you could guess your way through without thinking you should probably play a harder level.

I mean, if you got 6 conditions to look for or try one of the 4 remaining solutions, you should in many situations try the 4 solutions, especially if some of the pieces are already on the board.

Yes we decided to go like this. We try the other solution during an entire week.

Have a penalty when you guess wrong was very frustrating to some players.

But I understand the other point of view.
