Challenging time limit for long actions

Post by MatzeS »

Hello

I have an idea for improvement to prevent time penalties (or even get kicked out).

If the other player has no more action tokens and you still have two tokens, you can easily run over your time limit. Drawing (lots of) cards and doing a "double action" like building trees and then gaining "buying cards" is challenging in the time limit. And this was just your first action token :). Somehow you should get extra time after each draw card, played token or something else. Or maybe after each nonreversible step you can get a little bit extra time.

What are your impressions?

While the time per turn/action/whatever could possibly be improved, you should also consider time as a constraint in the game (in any game). If you don't have time to perform all your planned actions... perhaps you should have planned differently?

Hello!

Thanks for your concern about the time limit, but have you checked how it actually works?
You get extra time after every draw, and after every action use.
You don't get extra time between bonus actions, that could be your problem.
I imagine my opponent watching me doing a combo of moving Onibi, planting multiple trees that lead to extinguish fire and recruit animals, and get extra time for every sub-action... I guess 2 minutes are enough when you are capable of such an impressive move, that needed to be planified!

Hi Jiiru

Thanks for your explanation and clarification. I did not checked how it really works
