Were they turn-based? A player may have many turn-based games going on simultaneously. If the player does not log in for a while and does not activate a time joker, they'll likely run out of time in all games more or less at the same time. And if player B expels them from one game, they'll probably expel them from all other games they can.
But the system should be set up so that you cannot rack up 93 points against the same opponent
There should be a consecutive-win penalty, but maybe it does no apply in Arena (I guess you are talking about Arena points, no elo).

All turnbased - i need time to think about my moves.
When its time to grind for Arena Points, im having between 20 and 50 games of just Patchwork, and i start them in batches, because you have to re-click "play" everytime you got a game (a function "give me 10 games" would be a nice addition)
And if i search for games for 30 minutes or so, and the opponent never moved/time jokers - yeah, they all run out at around the same time, if im not there in the exakt second, you can kick quite some games in a row

And i got like 1 or 2 ELO points for that, which would be the right amount arena points too ... again, not the greatest coding..

It’s exceptionally unfortunate that they took away your ELO, which you clearly earned and will get back, but left you with with all those Arena points, which you didn’t earn, and has essentially broken this season.

If you sincerely agree that the system is broken, you have the power to fix it. You could:
1. End that last pending game with the other player. You two didn’t play each other for a year before being lined up in 10 games over two days. You’re unlikely to bump into each other again.
2. Start playing again. You basically stopped playing new Arena games the day before you got your six abandon victories.
3. Throw away the points you got against that one player so that the top spot is competitive again. Otherwise, the season’s over and you’ll win — on a glitch?

Of cause i could blunder all points, but you can bet that i wont be playing until a mod tells me its okay to click the play button again
Not getting banned for a quirky search-code

And i stopped playing arena before the matchups, because i was in the lead
started like 15 games or so, and stopped searching again - because i had lots of games open
after the timeout - again same reason as before
there is no point in fighting when you are in the lead

And for the part with "didnt earn" - i know you cant see it like i do, but i got very fortunate, only 1 game i got against him i was trailing, 2 were equal at the beginning, the rest i got a far ahead start
Which leads to my other post in the Thread regarding bidding for startplayer
On my level, games are decided by setup moreoften than threw gameplay..
This game is quasi solved

*edit
And now i wonder what i will get for a punishment if i intentionally lose games, this will also invalidate the elo system.. so yeah, i sit and wait
My trust in this is side/mod/system is broken right now

I don't think Lord Chanter should have had ELO removed.
That will skew any games they play in arena now even more and it takes a long time to build that up. They are a good player regardless of whether there is cheating/tactics or not.

Couldn’t agree more.

Resetting Lord Chanters’ ELO isn’t punishment for him. It is screwing other players ELO in many games. It is messing up every tournament with LC not seeded.

Moreover…
Why resetting all ELO?
Why ELO and not Arena points?
(Logically it should be both or just Arena. Arena ban for a season seems also something that looks more like punishment. But NOT this.)

Most importantly:
Was there any hard evidence?
Lord Chanter is after all a very strong Patchwork player.
I don’t see a motive here.
- If they both wanted to „transfer” points why end games early? It would be more elo-efficient and less fishy to finish them.
- If he was only afraid to loose, why cancel all games, not only these going bad?
It’s just don’t add up.

Please fix it back.

It’s kinda suspicious to be consistently 100+ arena rating ahead. Especially when there’s a few better players out there.

Something I don’t understand, he was clearly caught cheating (hence why his elo is reset to 100). Why would his arena ranking stay, he clearly does the cheating in arena and that’s the setting he most cares about, and he’s taking the chance from others to win it for a couple of seasons now. I thought if you did boosting/used multiple account you would get a permanent/IP ban?

I see, its cheating to press the play button for arena if you are good..

Resetting Lord Chanter’s ELO seems more of a punishment for the other players facing them. I’m always irritated when I face someone with a really low ELO and they know what they are doing. Get under an ELO point for a win and -19 ELO for a loss for playing someone similar in skill level. No point to accept such odds normally.
