Re: Google Chrome and Firefox Extension

In the "game in progress" page (https://boardgamearena.com/gameinprogress) it's shown as R I B. In fact, R I B is the correct player order ("R" is the first player, then it's "I" and "B" is last). The game itself shows it as I B R because it puts me at the top but the order is still identical since it's circular. It's too bad BGA sends it to your extension in a random order but I understand there's no way of fixing it.

Coming back to the skill level restriction, I have this idea that would help a lot. So, on this screen: https://ibb.co/qF3YH69r would it be possible to add functionality in your extension that when I uncheck a specific level, it automatically unchecks all levels to the right? This would be more intuitive than the current implementation where I need to uncheck every level one by one down to the desired level (it takes 6 clicks to restrict to Beginner).

In fact, my proposed solution would be consistent with how BGA works in the configuration dialog of the automated search:
https://ibb.co/nNxZ1LHM
In this dialog, if I choose "Never" at "Near my level (+/- 1)", it will automatically change all levels above it to "Never" as well.

Note that some people may want to uncheck all levels to the left instead ;) And it even depends on the game.

Your scenario is much more rare than what I described. Also, see the 2nd paragraph in my previous post which explains that my suggestion is consistent with how BGA works in another place.

In fact, the behavior here is perfect :

Image

if you deselect a level lower than yours, it also deselects levels lower than the deselected level.
If you deselect a level higher than yours, it also deselects levels higher than the deselected level.

What I don't have is a way of knowing what my level is. I'll have to have a look, but it won't be for this week.

The new version is available. Does anybody had the opportunity to test the new options?

I assume it's just the two options under the Fast game creation, regarding player levels and reputation? I set both of those and tried to fast create a game and got the following error in a popup:

BGA service error<br/>(reference: ST 11/03 00:21:54)

As an aside, for player levels, I'd actually prefer more granularity than just exclude people above my level - I typically am happy to include players one or two levels above me, but find that including experts when I'm an apprentice is where things go wrong (depends on the game though sometimes).

Ooops. I will try to reproduce the error, thanks.
Could you try to activate only one of the both option and retry to check wich option is causing you an error ?
Someone else has the same issue ?

It could be improved in a next version, I agree with you.

So I turned on the option for levels and it worked fine. Set me up a table with my level and below (correct).

Then I switched to reputation on but levels off, and tried the same game. It set me up a table with my level and below (previously used settings, so correct) but no karma restrictions (incorrect).

Then I left it with reputation on and levels off and tried a different game. It gave me a table with karma restrictions but no level restrictions (correct).

Then I turned both back on and tried another different game and got the error again.

So it feels reproducible but doesn't seem to be about one single item, although the incorrect setup on my second table (reputation on but levels off, but having previously made a table for the same game) could be related?

Let me know if you want me to try other configs.

I will try to reproduce the error. Maybe you are right about the fact that you had previously made a table for the same game. I will have to make some tests ...
Thanks for your help!
