Auction for Turn Based should be Real Time

When you start a Turn based game with auction turned on if it is a slow game like 1 day or 2 days it can take a week to get through the auction. I would like to submit that if you want to run an auction on a Turn based game everyone should have to ready check like it were a real time game and then to have a real time auction until the auction is complete. At that point the regular turn based game starts with the speed settings as selected.
These games are very irritating as is.

How would you agreed on an auction time? what if somebody can't commit to whatever time suited the others?

People play turn based to fit the game around their life, so I don't think this could work for most.
