Disable Turn History

Is there a way to disable the turn history at a gin rummy table? Listing all the cards that have been seen takes away a huge part of the skill involved.

No. You’re allowed to know previous cards played and it is a strategy of gin rummy to look at the previous cards discarded.

It’s cheating and I wish they’d disable it. IRL… how the game is supposed to be played, you wouldn’t be able to cheat so not sure why ur allowed to see history online.

Well, this is not IRL. Any player is free to take notes and no one will ever know, so hiding the log would only punish "honest" (or maybe "naive") players.

I like the turn history to refresh my memory for a turn based game. Especially if you play multiple games. I do a quick scroll through and then go back to playing. I don't assume anyone is "cheating" if they do it is on them. This is a place to have fun. I get it though. winning gives you a bigger dopamine boost than losing especially if you feel that someone has been snooping around in the discard pile to gain an advantage. So you manage your expectations when you play. I believe most people play it straight. If they are not well that is the nature of the platform. We are not playing for money here so it can be a little more relaxed. Just have fun with the other 95 games you have going. LOL (I am not that bad yet!)
