Is the Group Stage, Stage 2 Swiss bug fixed?

Hi, I got an update from another tournament organizer that their group stage Swiss tournament has correctly created the 6th match out of 7. Link here https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=342968


This goes against the previous experience of myself and other organizers where the Swiss system in the second stage of group stage tournaments were always bugged to have 5 matches regardless of how many matches entered in settings. There were bug reports on this and they were acknowledged by BGA staff. Not sure if the fix is for new tournaments only or is retroactive (and at what point it can fix).

I’m just letting players know that it appears to be fixed. Was there ever an announcement from BGA staff that I missed? Does anyone have any further information or evidence of the fix?

Here's a "long game" tournament that is on round 9 of stage 2: https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=157666 I'm not sure whether that means the bug is fixed, or was the bug just not triggered by this tournament for some reason. Hello Mathew, thank you for sharing. Glad to see multiple examples of the number of matches working correctly beyond match 5. I wonder what the cutoff date was for the fix? I see match 6 started January 5, 2025 for the listed Catan tournament. The example I posted had Match 6 begin March 8, 2025.

Are there any examples of less than 5 matches working as intended? I posted a tournament of mine for testing that was planned 3 matches, but the tournament created 5 matches. The 4th match started November 20, 2024. Maybe the bug was fixed between Nov 20 2024 and Jan 5, 2025?
