One could only wonder what would have happened to the game if Stars would have picked it up years ago when they were still dominant or if the WSOP had picked it up back then.
One thing is sure: it is very unlikely we will see it happen in the current climate of online poker. GGPoker is dominating the market and they dont care at all about anything else than holdem.
Luckily the game isnt fully dead though, and still perfect to be played with friends (or in some mixed game festivals obviously)
Speaking of which: to show the game is not fully dead, a friend has sent me a picture when playing a series in Tallinn showing over 100 entries in a 350€ ofc mtt with 70+ unique players!
