Buildings can count for multiple objectives? The rules don't say this.

Post by Does-not-play-games »

Nowhere in the rulebook does it say that buildings can count for multiple objectives. In fact, it explicitly says that each component can only be used for one objective, and the tooltip for each objective in the game says the same thing. (See screenshot.) And yet the tutorial explicitly says that buildings are an exception to the rule. Why? Where does it say that in the rulebook? And why doesn't the tooltip in game mention that?

Edit: My attachment doesn't seem to be working, so here:

If you think a tutorial is not correct, please contact its author directly. You can find their name at the beginning of the tutorial.

Buildings can count for multiple objectives, if you have 3 objectives that needs a building of 2 builder strength you could have a building with strength 7 that will count. Designer has answered already.

Not what I meant. The tutorial matches how the game scroes objectives. I'm commenting on the manual PDF and the tooltips on each objective.

I can submit a bug report regarding the tooltips, but I can't fix the manual. I'm just wondering if the whole way BGA works for this game is wrong.

The deginer's answers in that BGG thread are confusing.

I'm pretty sure that the game on BGA works the way it is intended but I agree that it's not what the rules seems to say.
I asked the question on BGG in the first place because there was a dissonance between what was effectively written and what I expected to be meant.

The hints are : Buildings have costs of 1,2,3,5,7,9 but some of the objectives require a building with 4 workers which makes little sense if each building can only be used once and there also seem to be quite a few objectives requiring buildings in the pile for it to work on a 1 building per objective basis.

The answer on BGG which is actually what I expected is that for buildings requiring workers, the "component" is not the building but the worker.

BGA has no control on the rules PDF but tooltips could include clarifications.
Anyone can also include a clarification in the wiki (but few people look at it...)
