Some developpers don't understand which options should be displayed in the lobby ( https://boardgamearena.com/lobby ) because that change from game to game. Some of them would display no option, others would display all, others many of those, others one or two and so on... It's not harmonised.
I propose to do it automatiquely (all % can be changed easily):
- every option which is chosen by at least 80% of games started would not be displayed, which mean you could find a table with 'cards hidden & expansion X', and another table with just 'card hidden' if the expansion Y is played by more than 80% of games (and so would be played on the second table), it would be the default option so not displayed.
- every option which is chosen between 20% and 80% of the time would be displayed as we have actually
- every option which is chosen by less than 20% of games and which got no option in that category chosen more than 50% of the time would be displayed in black as usual. This is for cases where you could have like ~20 scenarios to choose from and so you expect that setting to be different.
- every option which is chosen by less than 20% of games and not in the case above would get an underline or be in dark red, to emphasize that the game will be different than usual.
This doesn't have to take much server space. You could just check all the options once per year to see what changes and create a table with it, and just refer to that table.
