I'm specifically thinking about King Of Tokyo as this is my most played game. I assume this can apply well to many other games as well. Especially less popular games that take longer to find enough players to start.
What sometimes happens is players get into queue for an arena game , then then arena game starts and one player does not play.
Typically why this happens:
1. The game glitches for a certain player and or loads more slowly. Either on BGA's end or the players end I presume. Because of this, a player may not know or notice that a new arena game has started.
2. A player was waiting for a long time in queue to play an arena game and missed the start of a game.
The best course of action is to abandon the game or switch to turn based game. However even if all players are nice enough to do this and not kick the non playing player, the rest of the players are still stuck waiting for the non playing player.
My suggestion is if players are waiting in queue for an arena game and there is no further activity on BGA from that player during a certain timeframe, that the player is either timed out and dropped from the queue. Maybe there could be a notice that says " Do you still want to continue to remain in queue for this ( ___) arena game? along with some kind of chime to get a players attention.
Seems like this would reduce the numbers of players missing the start of a game and also benefit all players with less waiting.
