When to take Camels or High Value Cards

Post by alfredno »

I'm really struggling to get some wins at this game. Early on in the game, I have a hard deciding if I should go after the high value cards (diamond, gold, silver) or the camel cards (especially when I'm low on camels). I have a hard time grabbing the camels because I worry if my opponent gets the high value cards they will develop a big lead over me and potentially win. Is it situational or is it better to grab camels early on in the game? Also, how much camels should I have at least during most of the game?

If high value cards are available take them. They go quickly. Camels come and go.

There are 11 camels in the game. So, if you have 6, you have the majority and will score 5 points for the camels.

Always precious metals over camel. Camels should only be removed when your opponent has around 6-7 cards so the new revealed card can't be taken from market without selling their current hand. Also sell single items quickly if you see those same items being taken by your opponent. It will haste them to sell sooner and not get bonus points by hoarding them
