The game loads with the proper options when I start a game with strangers. (corporation era and prelude cards) When I try to load the game with friends it only loads the corporation cards but not the prelude cards. All have the proper settings. Can this not be played with friends mode?

i have definitely played a game on here with my friends with prelude cards.

The interface is tricky for pulling the settings up when playing with friends. It usually takes me a couple of tries to remember how to do it. It will default to the settings you use without friends, so you may need to change some things around (for me that includes enabling Prelude).

We all have our settings to Play only Corporation Era cards. We also all have Play only with Prelude cards. When I start the game with friends the Prelude cards do not load.

have you tried starting the game from the game page?

if you set the time to infinite (friendly mode), you can still choose prelude and corporate mode.
then, and only then, invite your friends by clicking the circles next to your icon.
