Ahoy is now in alpha

Heave ho and set sail for an adventurous raid… for perhaps it will be your last!

Ahoy is an asymmetrical game where two to four players take the roles of swashbucklers seeking Fame on the high seas.

The Bluefin Squadron, a company of sharks and their toothy friends, patrol waters to keep order with shot and sword. The Mollusk Union, an alliance of undersea creatures and their comrades-in-arms, fights to reclaim their ancestral home. Meanwhile, smugglers run blockades to deliver luxuries and essentials to those with the most need—or the most coin. Explore the seas. As you play, you’ll make a unique map full of treasure troves, dangerous wreckage, and mighty sea currents.

From the same publisher team that brought you Root and Oath, Ahoy offers deep, interactive gameplay in a fast-playing and easy-to-learn design with a colorful setting brought to life by Kyle Ferrin's gorgeous illustrations.

Any update on how close this is to getting a beta release?

Sure. We're currently seeking more feedback from alpha players and awaiting approvals from players who have played multiple games.

Given that this is a more involved game without a solo mode, it can take a while for that to happen. We really depend on alpha reviewers for that reason.

Could I get an invite for alpha testing? I have 490 games on BGA, not quite enough for general alpha tester status :)

At this time, we're looking for qualified alpha reviewers who can provide quality feedback and leave approvals. Unfortunately, BGA won't allow invited players to leave approvals right now, but we look forward to having you join us when you qualify or when we go to beta.
