Aquifer Pumping is OP

Aquifer pumping is awesome (on occasion)-- I got down Algae gen 2 and Kelp farming gen 3. This is probably the luckiest game I've ever played, with some help from my opponent passing good cards.

It's generally considered a very weak card. Of the first 6 oceans, only 2 came from aquifer pumping at a cost of 37 MC worth of MC and steel to play the card and buy the two oceans. The card Ice Asteroid would have had the same effect for 26 MC; possibly less if it is discounted with optimal aerobraking or media group or space station or something like that.

It helps that you had the steel, but, any corp with the prelude that give 6 titanium could do the same sequence.

As played, you worked it well ,putting the city in a good spot, then the greenery in a good spot, and you can use that piece of steel to put down a cheap 7th ocean next gen.

It should be noted that if your opponent has not played Towing a Comet, your Algae and Kelp farming would have been delayed one gen each.

Still, nicely done with what you had. It would have been awesome to have advanced alloys in that starting hand to go with it :)

I just watched the rest of the game - that was pretty awesome the way you sequenced the cards into some monster synergy. A very dominant Win. I'm not a fan of Aquifer Pumping, but that was an excellent use of the card.

Very well played.

The OP is rated close to 600, so most likely satire, with the humorous effect of showing how even a generally terrible card can sequence into a smashing victory on occasion.

The game replay is quite funny, literally everything sequenced perfectly. The score was 84-43 (Or something like that) when the opponent conceded.

Another example, with UNMI. https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=666145260
Sometimes your starting hand is so terrible that aquifer pumping stands out like a gem.

Only Undergound Detonations can challenge Pumping supremacy

Guys, what are you talking about?! Both Pumping and Detonations require you spend money on and on. Dust Seals is the answer!
