Pigs not breeding by design?

Post by marioelenajr »

I had to read the Norwegian rule book about pig breeding. It's my understanding that they will breed without being pregnant.
I looked over the bugs section but didn't see anything reported.

Did I miss something during my game ? I had 3 pigs but no new pig during breeding.

It takes 2 rounds in total to receive a new pig.
1st round (with at-least 2 pigs), 1 of them (max) gets pregnant.
next round, the pregnant pig turns into 2 normal pigs.

--EDIT--
Sorry, got confused between pigs and sheep. The above is how it works for Sheep and Cows in the base game.

Sorry, that's not true. That's how it works with cattle, sheep and horses, but pigs breed every round. Two or more pigs breed one pig per round.

I'm pretty sure pigs breed every turn like they're supposed to. Closest thing I've noticed is when I put my second pig in a house before income phase, and then it's not in my supply for breeding phase, which is annoying but clearly my own fault.
