Not at first. Maybe not ever, if we think on how many games there are here on BGA that doesn't have expansions.

I do hope we get it though. I guess it will depend on how much the community will support this adaptation by playing it. If enough people play it, "the powers that be" may notice that it has enough of an audience to justify the extra effort to program and launch PoK.
Yeah, hope we can get PoK soon, but first I want to play TI4 on BGA with friends, wish they can launch the game as soon as possible.
Good luck and have fun!

Developer said back in October the following:
* "I only play with Prophecy of Kings! When is it happening?" It is a cool expansion! However, the base game must be finished first. If everyone is respectful to each other, and BGA + FFG are happy with the community and how games go on BGA, then Prophecy of Kings may happen. The code is designed to support its implementation, e.g. mechs are already considered when designing certain logic or data structures.
But it's going to depend upon the community, the success of the base game, and his blood alcohol content after he's done with this implementation.

Ah, I see, thanks for your reply.

Map building is finally working (but not yet deployed), since:

* I still need to program some special cases today, like 5-player maps without hyperlanes, and anomaly / wormhole conditions.
* I need to add an info display.
* I need to test various cases.

I will report again once this milestone is finished.

That great! Thanks for the update. Will map building be done via a draft with pre-generated slices? Will it be possible create custom maps too?

Map "building" uses the official rules where players place tiles in a ring.

Players can instead use "manual" setup where the table host sets everything up. This allows the use of a map code string, e.g. from a milty draft site, as long as the code is compatible (base game systems only, no weird map shapes etc.)

I Hope BGA and FFG doesn't sit on it ater you finish your work in order to release the public alpha. I have a table schedulled this saturday and I intend to tell them to be ready for the BGA adaptation so we can have more opportunities of playing it. If BGA and FFG takes too long they will get tired of waiting... ^^

Once again, as always, thank you for accepting this massive job, and thank your for what you have done.

I have no worries about FFG, they have been an absolute joy to work with.

The anomaly / wormhole rule is done, but the 5-player special case etc. will be continued tomorrow.

Your rate of progress is amazing!

Take as long as you need. I'm excited to play this one, but I know the workload is enormous.
