The time design of this game foster toxicity

Post by Rassen »

This is the 2nd time now I ran out of time on a leading position (big gap) and the opponent expelled me.
The normal turn is laggy enough to endure but when that expel button is pressed, my game just totally stuck and that supposed "20 seconds" I have to finish my turn is actually nothing since the game just got stuck.
So I'm left with a leaver penalty and a lost game on a supposedly won game.

It's fair that time management is a problem on my part but the lagging time and stuck on Expel time is not. And the opponent is ENCOURAGED to go for the toxic option: expel me to secure a cheap win.

It's important to note that both time this happened on unranked game, there wasn't even anything at stake to play dirty except ego.

I don't think this is the boardgame experience I am looking for so yeah I'm out, maybe this comment will get some attention, maybe it's not I just want to share what I think is a really bad form that should not be encouraged like that.

I would high suggest playing TTA on the official APP via mobile, Steam or GoG. Much smoother experience! The game on BGA is not updated with high quality resolution cards and latest balance changes found in digital versions.

i agree, the experience is just 10X better on steam(can't vouch for the mobile experiences)
