[The Beast] Responsive image

Post by tschvartz »

Hello,

We've started to develop the “beast” game and I'm not very good at CSS. We want our game to be responsive so that it displays correctly on all media.

Can you tell me which media to use to make the game responsive?

When I look at existing games, some indicate images in “px” but seem to have small image sizes. Others, larger ones, seem to use formulas with variables.

Can you confirm that this is the best solution, bearing in mind that my base board is large and I want to use the full width possible.

Best regards

It is not simple question, people wrote books about responsive layouts, you can google it.
In short you can use "%" as unit of measure or unit that depends on width or high of display which is vh or vw.
If you want user to control the zoom it will be calculated using calc() method and some css variable which is set programmatically to a scale factor.
And yes px is the worst.
