* I still need to program some special cases today, like 5-player maps without hyperlanes, and anomaly / wormhole conditions.
* I need to add an info display.
* I need to test various cases.

I will report again once this milestone is finished.
Map building and desktop / mobile test cases are done.

I am deploying a new private alpha build today. The next major milestone is limited tactical action undo support.

I''m curious, where did you get the images for the map and game assets? were they provided to you from FFG, did you scan them, how good do the images look?

Well yeah, they were provided by the publisher otherwise the game would never be implemented in the first place

Being given permission doesn't mean they are getting original artwork from the publisher. Have you not seen all the games on here with poorly scanned materials?

dev will reply here when it's ready, but in the meantime you can work towards alpha reviewer status, which gives you access to all public alphas:

https://boardgamearena.com/reviewer

Once it goes into public alpha, if you have a reviewer friend they can host a game and invite you too.

Nope, I havent encountered a single one so far, and I would bet there are none for titles involving paid work. Do you have some in minds specifically ?

Caylus and Puerto Rico are pretty classic examples of games I play with horribly scanned assets. I have no idea which mods on here are paid for and which ones are done by fans. I don't even know for sure GtSchemer is getting paid, or was just given permission. I assume he is getting paid, since they put that banner out forever ago about it being made, but I don't really know if he is.

Puerto Rico is one of the oldest games on here, and hails from a more scrappy upstart, less professional era of BGA. These days the large majority of games you see coming to BGA are paid commissions from freelance devs working for the publisher.

I really wish Puerto Rico could get a nicer re-implementation someday . . .

How long does it usually take from alpha to beta status?
