Fire and Ice in Arena?

Hi,
I was just wondering if some of the Gurus could give any commentary on whether including F&I factions was considered for Arena. I'm referring to the "canonical" F&I [Acolytes, Ice Maidens, River Walkers, etc.] not the Fan Faction versions.

I'm glad that the next season will allow other maps to show up while still allowing non-F&I Fan Factions, but was hoping to see Ice Maidens, etc. allowed.

Fan factions are not even officially part of the game.
Fan factions are still Beta on BGA.
And yet, the gurus and a handful of players have long ago decided that they must now represent what is supposed to be played in competitive TM games on BGA.
This concern has been voiced here on several other topics before, and they don't care. What counts is what they don't find "boring", even if the FF have nothing to do with the original game (or its official expansions) anymore at this point.

I believe the ice factions are generally far more loved than the fire factions and the multicolour ones. If they could be split they would have a chance. I think its good arena settings change every season, as everyone likes different settings.

As your concern about FF being official or not, the developers have made their intentions clear about publishing the fan factions. I doubt many more adjustments will be made about them.

Yeah. I’ve argued this point for months in the original thread about adding more factions to arena. Almost all the arguments made against allowing f&i factions are not against ice. & ice are my favorite of the three anyway. I wish there was an option to separate them. I would definitely have to step back into tm if ice factions come to arena .

Man i think i posted something about this post covid, because i would have loved to play F&I factions against strong players.
I log in sometimes (like every 3-4 months) on this website just in the hope, that "MAYBE, ONE DAY THEY WILL TRY IT?"

Here we are 4 years later, i have not seen a single time F&I in arena .

the title guru applies very well in this case.
Like Anadh said, it is what it is, don't waste your time here, you might as well talk to a brick wall.
