Deleating my own translation

Post by -tyrrr- »

Hi,
Is it possible to deleate one's own translation? I was wrong about one expression I've translated and I don't know how to translate it correctly, but I couldn't find a way to deleate my translation. Is there any?

Nope, no way to delete it. You can overwrite it though with something like "translation was wrong, please re-translate"

But yeah, i think it would be good to be able to delete one's own translations (maybe only if less than x minutes old or something). Because now one can't be certain that somebody else even sees that a translation is missing there - especially in games with thousands of translations like injarawa, or the main page

You can also just copy the english text/line and paste it in the box of your language, so the english text stays there. Then at least its more clear what is meant (instead of getting a sudden lline: I did a mistake in this translation please translate it correctly; Wait, so its my turn or not? :P ) and it's also clear it's not yet translated.

Cheers,

That's indeed the right way to go about it. If the sentence has not been translated yet, the English text appears; so if you want to remove your translation, copy/pasting the English original goes back to how it was before for non translators. For translators, you can also leave a translation comment when reverting to English to explain the reason why you had to do this.
