Change how the dates are shown

So I was just looking through the tournaments list and found one I wanted to join.
I saw the datem 8/11/2025, great 8th of November. Or is it?

Thanks to our first across the pond its hard to know exaclty what date is shown.

My suggestion is to use the following in order to never have anyone second guess what date it means.

Day of the month with 2 digits / Month with 3 first letters / year in 4 digits

ex: 09/DEC/2025 as 09th of December the year 2025.

That what its not possible to confuse this with 12th of September.

This is what we had to do in the oil buisness in order to never ever mix up the dates with all different nationalities we hade to push the papers through.

I agree with you in general; I prefer the month to be abbreviated with letters (e.g. JAN, FEB) instead of represented numerically. But for a multilingual site like BGA, the complexity of implementing that probably would exceed the demand for such a feature. Instead you can turn on ISO 8601 to have dates expressed unambiguously as 2025-06-04 (for example). See https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43008
