It's not wr against <1900 but wr of players <1900. Average wr of >1900 players is 77%Andrei3009 wrote: ↑30 May 2025, 23:34Any idea why winrate against <1900 is so low?
And Do you know what anthracite win rate is? Because some average card's [like imported ghg] have crazy winrate.

Imported GHG has a high win rate when played, not so much when simply "option".Andrei3009 wrote: ↑30 May 2025, 23:34

If that card is played, the person playing it probably has various strong helper cards such as media group, Optimal aerobraking, one or more of the 4 space discount cards, etc.
That is, if I'm understanding this chart correctly.

I agree mostly with this, however I did just beat a 660 elo who got AI and AGT down by gen 6 with a sick engine. So it’s not impossible, but you need to be kissed by Aphrodite herself.

We’re talking about 1v1. Mars-U isn’t more versatile than AI. It’s cheaper up front, but it requires you to play a science and discard a card. AI puts out every time. Take into consideration good players will absolutely not pass you a single science card in draft once you play it. So truly benefiting from Mars-U will require you to continue to get lucky and maybe combo w Olympus, but if you have AI you’ve already gotten lucky.ThothTheRaven wrote: ↑30 May 2025, 19:27MarsU is generally better than AI. AI can be great but also is very highly overrated, especially by newer players who don't understand rush/tempo well (because it is strong against them and against opponents who also don't understand rush strats). AI is a great card in general but there are a lot of cards that are really strong like GIA, deimos, NRA, EC, insects, viral, eco zone, AGT, MarsU, etc that are better in many circumstances. I am assuming this is about base + preludecharliec247 wrote: ↑27 May 2025, 14:32I'm curious what the best science draw card is, in your opinion.
In the context of overall, you’re absolutely correct. AI is weaker in 3p and almost completely useless in 4p except under great circumstances. I have seen countless ppl play AI in 4p and get smooshed. It’s just not a tempo card. That’s where Mars-U shines, but when it comes to HU, AI is king.

Stats shown is for 2p games on tharsis with base + prelude format. I don't really understand how you've come into conclusion that mars u is not more versatile than ai. With ai you have much steeper requirements to fulfill. Ai is also basicaly useless when drawn later on. Discarding mechanic is not a problem at all, you just pick up 1-3 extra cards from draft. When it comes to cutting cards, first of all it is impossible to do, second of all think about the immense draft pressure you are applying on your opponent.HappyMeaI wrote: ↑05 June 2025, 07:32We’re talking about 1v1. I don't pass science cards regardless of whether my opponent has Mars U.HappyMeaI wrote: ↑05 June 2025, 07:32

That's too passive, you need to play more aggressive rather than just cutting science. This is how higher ranks dominate, they play around science and just simply win drafts.FrankJones wrote: ↑05 June 2025, 09:12I don't pass science cards regardless of whether my opponent has Mars U.HappyMeaI wrote: ↑05 June 2025, 07:32

I didn't mean it that literally. I'm not passing Giant Ice just to avoid passing Adaptation technology.

That's not exactly what I am saying. I am saying you could pass science and bait the game with tempo and rush it out.FrankJones wrote: ↑05 June 2025, 15:43 I didn't mean it that literally. I'm not passing Giant Ice just to avoid passing Adaptation technology.![]()
