Well then you’re missing out on getting your info directly from the source. Almost everything I preach/teach comes straight from the players who wallop me game in and game out. There may not be a ton of them, but they’re the people who’s brains are most worth picking.

Yeah, I don't want to admit it but I won't be half of the play I am without the steam discord community. All my concepts are tested there.jaymc1130 wrote: ↑10 June 2025, 17:48Well then you’re missing out on getting your info directly from the source. Re: Asteroid Mining Consortium
I still really hate getting hacked! Especially if I have Robinson Industries. I am not a big fan of that corporation; it just seems boring to play.
Re: Asteroid Mining Consortium
Look, if Robinson opens the game with no MC prod, definitely hack em. The niche scenarios where Hackers is a good play are rare, but this is easily the best of them for actually playing Hackers and having it be more than a “win more” type of card and actually be just “winning” as a play. Also funny card for flipping Banker.FrankJones wrote: ↑10 June 2025, 18:05 I still really hate getting hacked! Especially if I have Robinson Industries. Essentially, Hackers in a general sense, is a good play when your opponent has little to no tempo, little to no economy, limited cards in hand, you have an excess of energy, you want the game to go long, and you have good scaling. So basically when you’re already winning it’ll help you win a little bit harder. If you’re behind it’s a never play/cut, and if you’re even it’s a “pass it to opponent and let them blunder away the game by playing it”.

Re: Asteroid Mining Consortium
What do people think about Robinson as a corp? I was never a big fan of preludes, so I have not used these corps as much.
Re: Asteroid Mining Consortium
Trash tier. Most corps at least have a useful ability that lasts the whole game. Robinson gets a garbage ability that becomes totally useless pretty quickly with a very meh opening money count. Corp should at least come with a wild tag or something.FrankJones wrote: ↑10 June 2025, 18:34 What do people think about Robinson as a corp? Okay, good, I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something about that corp. I couldn't recall off the top of my head where it ranked in the various statistics posts that I've seen here and elsewhere.

Re: Asteroid Mining Consortium
Robinson takes too long to get going, its ability forces you to play in a certain way, and its ability does nothing in the late game. I'd play it but would not pick it most of the time, and very rarely in 3P or above.FrankJones wrote: ↑10 June 2025, 18:34 What do people think about Robinson as a corp? If things come together it's a beautiful sight to behold but yea..."if things come together". Some disruption or a bad draw and you're forced to use its ability to bump MC or heat.

Re: Asteroid Mining Consortium
That's a bit hyperbolic. robinson is obviously weaker than the other prelude corps but is quite often a good pick. it's very often solid but almost never great.jaymc1130 wrote: ↑10 June 2025, 18:38Trash tier. Have you ever known me to NOT wax hyperbolic?ThothTheRaven wrote: ↑12 June 2025, 05:02That's a bit hyperbolic. robinson is obviously weaker than the other prelude corps but is quite often a good pick. it's very often solid but almost never great.jaymc1130 wrote: ↑10 June 2025, 18:38Trash tier.
