How should I thank my opponent when I've won ?

It's easy to thank your opponent when you've lost - Gg,thanks,maybe even congratulations.But how should I thank them for playing gamely and regularly when I've won ? Last time I said 'thanks for the game' and attempted a smiley,but the smiley came out as a 'D',and I'm afraid that that came across as being smug.

I write 'gg' when I lose, I write 'gg' when I win. If that offends someone, the issue may not be on my side of the chat box.

There are a bunch of standard messages on quick buttons at the bottom of the chat box, one reads 'Thank you for the game!', that should be perfectly fine. That said, I think 'gg' is fine too.
