Tie-breaker question

Post by dhnyny »

I just played a game that ended in a tie and I came in second place because I took more development cards. I understand that part. But could someone explain the numbers next to the gray stars on the game results screen? Here's the game: https://boardgamearena.com/17/splendor?table=689786319
Next to the first gray star is the number –1. What does that mean?
Next to the second gray star the winner has a 91 and I have an 84. What do those numbers mean?
Thanks!

The stars seem to be bga's way of assigning numbers to the game's tie break rules (and are used in other games on this site too). In the case of a draw, the player with the most stars wins.

I am not fully sure of the -1 star, but i guess it is there for the expansion tie break rule (which doesn't come in to use here as you're playing base game)

And then the 91 and 84 are 100 minus the number of cards you each bought.
