Thanks for the help

Post by Archisian »

A couple of weeks ago, I made a post asking for help on how to get better at the game. After that time, my win rate has increased a lot. Two weeks ago, I was at only 25% wins. Now, I'm a 38%. My ELO has jumped up a lot too, from only 100 to 242.

So, to the ones who replied on my original post, such as FrankJones, Ceaseless and kostinen, thank you all for helping me out and providing the tips you gave! I've started to finally figure things out.

I also found it really useful to post my replays here and watch other people's and to share suggestions and see how there might be lots of different playing styles but at the end of the day there are some staples that you kind of need to nail early on to set yourself up for winning.

I'm gutted that I didn't know what my win % was before I started asking for feedback, it is now at 45%. My ELO has been going up and down, I managed to break 200 once or twice, and then came back down. Currently I'm back on Average.

You know, we also learn by watching other games and trying to explain and compare with others our way of playing. It's a win-win situation! So thank to you and to all those who share their games so that I can study them. And thanks also to those who agreed to comment on mine :)

Using this filter I can see your win rate was about 36% before June
In June, it's 47% !

Haha no problem !
I played more than 3000 games in this website and today I learned that there are options during the game for every boardgame (for example to activate automatically bird power in Wingspan)

Just scored 96 in a game. Not sure if there’s a filter for this as well, but it certainly feels like my highest ever score!

That's awesome! My current highest I think is 105. It's great once the veil lifts from your eyes and you can see how the game works now!
