How can I set the starting player?

How can I set the starting player, who is responsible for choosing the role (pilot / co-pilot) and the special abilities?

As in many (all?) other games the starting player is chosen randomly. You cannot influence it.

If you propose a rematch with the same person after a game has finished the starting player alternates.

Are you sure? In the first five games I’ve been always the starting player. But for the last ten to twelve games, each game my teammate was the starting player who has to choose the role etc.
