Translation center: could not load translation page (an unexpected error has occurred...)

Post by Thomas »

I can not access the translation pages for any game. It always says that „an unexpected error has occurred...“. Refreshing does not work, waiting some hours does not work. It seems to be a permanent error.

Someone already created a bug report:
https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=162210

If you encounter the same issue, please vote for that bug and/or add details to this bug.

It sometimes happens to me.

Most of the time, refreshing 1 or 2 times gives the page back.

I wrote about this issue in this forum already months ago: https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42365

Nothing has happened since, except more and more bug reports. I now try to summarize them all in this one Thomas mentioned: https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=162210 Please vote for it!

Language is a source of misunderstanding. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery: The Little Prince) But it is also the source of understanding - it all depends on how you use it. :-)

That was, what happed to me in the past. But since two days, refreshing does not help me. I tried it in the morning, at midday and in the evening. I tried it for different games. It tried it several times in a row (about 5 or more times each). I even tried it only 2 minutes before I wrote this post.

Therefor I reported it as a bug, found several similar bug reports and shared it here.

If you tell, that you can still access translation pages for a single game (the overview list works for me, but as soon as I click „translate now“ for any game, the error message appears), then I wonder, why I can’t, not even after several refresh (F5), as the error message is created by the server, not the client.

Same here, since a few days i have not succeeded in entering a translation page for a game, where before, refreshing a few times or waiting a little bit usually solved that.

I just checked and could load a translation page again, so hopefully the issue has been solved.

Yes, the bug has been fixed this morning. You should be able to continue translating.
