oh, heck. I forgot about the problems that arise when someone runs out of time in a multiplayer game.

Not only that, but conceding in a multiplayer game is not allowed at all regardless of what percentage of a game has been completed.

Right. That's what I meant. I mean, that, and the problem of quitting or running out of time in a multi-player game.

The two main problem with multiplayer games:

1) When a player quits, the other players are declared co-winners regardless of who was actually going to win. This would bother me very much if I had an obvious and imminent win against a player rated 300 Elo higher, and instead I get zilch. (I have no good solution to this, because ...)

2) There is no useful way for any algorithm to determine who is winning, or, what percentage of the game is actually completed.


So, I avoid multiplayer games.


The best solution I can think of is to just skip the zombie player (in games for which this would be feasible without ruining the game).
For many games though, this just would not work within the framework of the game.
