Congratulations on getting the came out to test. Would it be possible to put in a snake draft option for when getting more than one strategy card. For example in a 4 player game it would go 1-2-3-4-4-3-2-1.
Thanks again for all your hard work.

All variants must wait, officials rules only for now. Furthermore, it doesn't make much sense to do it that way, it's not supposed to be an equal and just draft, the speaker has to benefit.

On a side note, where can we post LFG messages if we need to find more players? This topic, make another in an alfa forum?

Honestly, I am not sure if there is an official BGA way to plan long async games (e.g. "looking for a group of active France timezone players who know TI4 rules well").

* I turned off group chat because any time someone writes a message, it sends a chat message to all 1700+ members.
* I also turned off the group newsfeed messages to avoid spam, though players often do not seem to see them anyway.
* Global BGA chat is not ideal because most people there do not have access to TI4.
* I think the rules specifically prohibit using forum threads to plan games.

If I missed something, let me know.

Looks like the group chat would be the only option. I don't think there are many people willing to get into an 8h long game with total strangers

How does one join/play an alpha game?

I believe I met the criteria back when TM was in alpha, but then it made it to beta before I could alpha test.

Excited to see how this plays online, and how much faster the game plays when the computer does all the logic/leg work

Sorry I can't find the answer since I don't want to start a live game yet:

Can you do a live game and then pause, then have everyone join at another time? I'm assuming in friendly mode we all can simply walk away and come back - but is there an official way to pause it if you want ranked games?

Thanks!

In alpha, all games will be turn-based (async), not "real-time". Of course, if you have friends you can schedule a time to be online and play it real-time, there just won't be a ticking clock.

For released BGA games, there is no way to pause, but some games let you specify certain playing hours.

I am definitely down to play multiple games at once with strangers.

It was a lot more than I hoped, for sure. Last I checked it's over 110,000 lines of JS and PHP, plus another 10,000+ for CSS.

And there are 11 factions to add.
