End of Arnea season: What is the tiebreaker?

Post by lanzi »

In case of equal Arena-points at the end of the season, what is the tiebreaker for the placement?

I can't tell for sure, but I'm almost certain, that Arena scores are only displayed as whole numbers, but are stored as decimals with a certain precision. So most likely when Arena scores appear tied in reality they are not, and thus no tiebreaker is needed. How many decimal points are there and what happens if they are equal after all - those are questions I can't answer.

This would be logical but unfortunately it's wrong. Contrary to the Elo points, the Arena points don't seem to have any hidden decimals, and the tie-breaker is a pretty silly one, i.e. whoever has played the game last (not necessarily in the Arena) goes first.

Wow, that is silly indeed. And good to know, just in case. Thank you for the information.
